How would you like this sugary cinnamon goodness to be all up in your face like that right now?

If you say anything less than 150% YES…I don’t think we can be friends. Because I want to live in that streusel.

Feel free to tweak the add-ins in this recipe! Chunky applesauce would be delicious, or even chopped up apples. Nuts instead of raisins? Or if you’re me…throw in a hefty handful (or two…or three) of chocolate chips :)
Apple Cinnamon Bread
adapted from Lemon Drop Foodie
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup applesauce
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup raisins
Cinnamon Streusel Topping
1/4 cup oats
1 tbs brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbs butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour a large loaf pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flours, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg, applesauce, brown sugar, milk, and vegetable oil.
Fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients, blending just until combined.
Pour into loaf pan and sprinkle the streusel on top.
Bake 55-60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

If you’ve ever wanted to taste fall…this is it.
