Before you scroll any further, I need to ask you to trust me on this one. Because I, too, was once a skeptic and non-believer.

Believe me when I tell you that this pretty swirly smoothie is reallyreallyreally good. {I guess I’ve been into the swirls lately}
Still with me?

This, my friends, was my first time trying a green smoothie. And what makes it such a lovely shade of green are the huge handfuls of leafy green spinach.
Okay, so adding spinach to smoothies isn’t exactly ground-breaking, but I’m finally jumping on the bandwagon and this is my contribution to the wide array of green smoothie recipes out there.

Quite honestly, I was bracing myself for something nasty. But for something packed full of vitamin-rich and nutritious spinach (seriously, I used much more than shown on the plate…my trusty food processor was filled to the brim), it seriously doesn’t taste like spinach at all.
What you do taste is a frosty banana and peanut butter smoothie that is AMAZINGLY healthy. I loveee this as post-run fuel or a meal on the go!

Peanut Butter Banana Green Smoothie
1 frozen banana
1 tablespoon peanut butter
2-3 handfuls spinach or kale
1 cup almond milk (I like Silk unsweetened vanilla)
Put everything in the blender and blend until creamy.
