You, too, can have that gooey chocolate brownie in your mouth in a hot two minutes.

All you do is mix cocoa powder, brown sugar, flour, and salt.

Combine it with vegetable oil, water, and chocolate chips.

Microwave for 55 seconds.

Too easy! And kind of dangerous to have this sort of instant gratification around. you’re welcome :)

(I apologize for the lackluster pictures. This was after dinner, so the sun was starting to set. Apparently golden hour does not work so well for food.)

But I daresay it looks dangerously tempting nonetheless.

Two-Minute Mug Brownie from Babble

1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
2 Tbsp canola oil
2 Tbsp milk, coffee or water
pinch coffee granules
1 Tbsp chocolate chips

In a heatproof mug or ramekin, stir together the dry ingredients until no lumps remain. Stir in the oil and milk until you have a thick paste.

Microwave on high for a minute, checking it after 30 seconds (microwaves vary) – 55 seconds worked for me. It will be done when it’s springy on top but still a bit gooey. Eat warm.

P.S. As the title says, it’s national chocolate cupcake day! :) I’d say this is a pretty good way to celebrate…it’s a chocolate CUP cake…haha…get it?

  1. You literally just made my day. I am a serious sufferer of the baking bug but I just moved to university where I only have a microwave and a kettle. So I have been looking far and wide for microwavable recipies and this one looks yummy, gonna have to try it tomorrow!
