homemade dark chocolate almond butter


Dark Chocolate Almond Butter

1 cup raw unsalted almonds
1/3 cup dark chocolate covered almonds (I used Trader Joe’s)
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/8 teaspoon salt

Throw it all in a food processor (or a Vitamix…wish I were you!) and blend til smooth!

    Should I keep this in an airtight container in the refrigerator? Also, how long does it keep? Thank-you so much!

      I would store in the fridge for the longest life, especially since there are no preservatives, making it susceptible to rancidity and spoilage. I think it would keep at least a week or two, maybe up to a month! Just use your judgment to see it looks or smells different. Mine never last that long without being eaten!!
